This deserves a place on the grid for multiple reasons…
First of all, because
@mikeeeg83 is strong as fuck and deserves credit.
Secondly, I posted this on my story yesterday. I got multiple coaches who have been working in the industry about a year combined who clearly got their certification out of a cereal box (yes you’re old if you get that reference) saying this isn’t optimal, why are you doing it?
First of all you have no idea what his goals are…you just assume everyone wants to be as big and ripped as possible and has to follow the perfect split and do exactly the exercise you define as optimal.
The longer you work in the industry the more you realise optimal is person dependant , it’s only optimal if you can stick to it and are motivated to give it your all.
There is a pandemic in the fitness industry of coaches imparting their goals on their clients. To be clear that is NOT your job. You can educate, you can advise but their goal is their goal and it is your job to help them get there.
If their goal is to get strong , and you programme mainly with aesthetics in mind because you are bothered about your transformations then you’re doing them a huge disservice.
You are the sat nav helping them get to their destination, you don’t get to decide where they go, you help plan the best route possible
Do better
