It isn’t simply about what we can or cannot do. It’s about recognizing when something begins to take control of us and leads us away from wisdom, clarity, and self-control.
For me, that’s how I’ve come to understand the Bible: not as a list of restrictions, but as guidance meant to help us navigate life with intention.

Recognising when something begins to take control of us' is exactly it. For me that was drink. It never announced itself, it just slowly took the wheel. Seeing wisdom as guidance rather than rules is what finally helped me take it back
