Great to welcome @dochasnetwork and a delegation of Irish humanitarian and development organisations to Brussels today 🇮🇪🇪🇺
Following a series of meetings with European Commissioners @hadjalahbib @jozef_sikela @dubravkasuica, we discussed the future of EU development cooperation, the next EU budget and the importance of protecting funding for the Global Europe Instrument.
Development cooperation is not simply an expense. It is a long-term investment in global stability, security and prosperity, and must be treated as such.
Many thanks to Dóchas, @goal_global @trocaireonline @oxfaminternational @christianaidirl @worldvisionireland and @selfhelpafrica for their engagement and the important work they do.
