“I’m triggered.”
“Don’t trigger me.”

These shouldn’t just be trendy things to say or phrases we use with no action behind them.

There may be real pain behind those words. Pain that deserves to be heard, understood, and cared for.

But after we name it, what comes next?

Are we noticing patterns? Talking to someone safe? Getting support to work through what keeps coming up?

We can ask others to be mindful of our pain while also taking steps to care for it ourselves. And when our response hurts someone, there’s room to take responsibility for that too.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You deserve support as you work through it.

Your triggers deserve compassion. They also need your attention.✨♥️

Thank you so much, sis, for these sacred reminders; our triggers are signals, because the body speaks even when we have learned to swallow what aches. Appreciate your wisdom! Reposted ❤️
