House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed concerns about plans to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, warning that the footage could help terrorist groups recruit members. “The concern would be that you would create a video that would be a recruiting tool for future terrorists,” Johnson told CBS News.

Hasan, 56, was sentenced to death for killing 13 people in a 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. His execution by firing squad is scheduled for December 3 and would mark the first US military execution by that method since 1945.

Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Thom Tillis have condemned the broadcast plans, despite supporting Hasan’s execution. President Donald Trump approved the execution but said he would make the final decision on broadcasting it.

Johnson is no better having said this than before he said it. He has been lying to us all the while: “haven’t had time to look at that yet”, “don’t know anything about that”, etc. Anything so as not to answer a question.

Yeah I’m with the Grand Wizard on this one. He was always the smart one of the bunch. Doing this is basically giving a platform to people who intentionally die in very dramatic public ways. Sidenote, they didn’t even let a singular photo of Bin Ladin’s body reach the public.
