I genuinely thought our relationship was equal before kids.

Then motherhood exposed how quickly the mental load, childcare, appointments, routines and sacrifices somehow became “mum’s job.”

I didn’t become the expert because I was born knowing more. I researched it. I learnt it. I showed up.

And dads can do the same.

If you both chose parenthood, you both chose the responsibility. 🤍

Men are interested in ejaculation and impregnating not child rearing . The effort he made before he got you pregnant was all in a bid to get you pregnant. Once he fulfilled his biological imperative he moved on mentally

When people fool themselves and say this only happens in some families, NO. This is pretty near enough applicable to ALL

Which is why my rule will be that HE needs to do the research on pregnancy and post birth stuff, he will have to teach me 😂

Exactly & I find men are like this with most things so I will never put myself equal to one. If they want my womb they must compensate & be full providers. I would say it’s even good practice for the whole year or more before u have a baby that every week he puts money into a account to pay for help & nurses for the mother cuz let’s be for real he won’t be there helping most of the time, I want a nanny paid for in advance 😂

I agree however, I believe you didn’t become a parent the same day though and that you became a parent the moment you got pregnant and carried the baby in your body. It wasn’t equal from the beginning of the pregnancy, you went through the pregnancy symptoms etc. and you birthed the baby, and you possibly breastfed, and you dealt with postpartum hormones etc.

This literally makes no sense. We fill roles and men are not meant to be in nurturing role so I think is really off what this message claims and also disregards men who are doing everything 🔥 to be there in every other way than be a mother.

My sons father was unable to connect with the baby.. he kept his distance and wasnt helpful but he would pop in occasionally to take a photo of himself with my baby, as if to prove he is with the baby.. to show off to others.. it was fake, like my son was his photo op to look like a good dad.. it was so weird to watch... And then one time my brother stayed with me, he didnt care about my son much at all.. then my mom came over, he walked over picked my kid up and acted like the best uncle..and i was like damn thats the same behavior, using my kid to manipulate how others see you, to appear to be good with kids. Wild behavior. Hard to respect a man after seeing it.
