Dublin South FM 93.9

Tune in to @smashingtimes at 6 pm!

Today’s show features an update on events taking place for this year’s eight Irish Arts and Human Rights festival. The festival is implemented each year by Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality and Front Line Defenders with a range of partners and showcases the extraordinary work of human rights defenders in Ireland and around the world, past and present, and the role of the arts and artists in promoting human rights today.

We are delighted to feature on the show a powerful interview conducted by @samasabet with Roja Fazaeli, Professor of Law and Islamic Studies at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, University of Galway. Roja talks about her own work as a human rights activist and speaks about the Iranian prisoner of conscience Mahvash Sabet, an internationally recognized Iranian poet, writer, former educator, and a Bahá'í prisoner of conscience.
