The festival is implemented each year by Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality and Front Line Defenders with a range of partners and showcases the extraordinary work of human rights defenders in Ireland and around the world, past and present, and the role of the arts and artists in promoting human rights today.

We are delighted to feature on the show a powerful interview conducted by @samasabet with Roja Fazaeli, Professor of Law and Islamic Studies at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, University of Galway. Roja talks about her own work as a human rights activist and speaks about the Iranian prisoner of conscience Mahvash Sabet, an internationally recognized Iranian poet, writer, former educator, and a Bahá'í prisoner of conscience.

Since 2020 @pocketforests has made itself known across the country for their practices in developing small trees, shrubbery and ground-cover plants that help bring wildlife and vegetation back to or introduce them to local communities.
