ATTENTION FamiLEE! MORNING ARRIVAL & SECURITY PROCEDURES
Student safety and instructional time are our top priorities! Please review these important reminders to help keep our mornings safe and efficient.
ARRIVAL TIMES
• 7:45 a.m. – Doors open
• 8:15 a.m. – Students must be in line for security screening
• 8:25 a.m. – Breakfast ends (except late buses)
• 8:30 a.m. – Instruction begins
BE PREPARED
Before entering the building, remove your HCS-issued laptop and all metal items (except keys) from your bag. This includes chargers, headphones, metal water bottles/cups, canned drinks, and other metal objects. Place items in designated baskets as directed.
HOLD LAPTOPS OVERHEAD
Students must hold their HCS-issued laptops above their heads, with arms extended, while passing through the weapons detectors.
LEAVE THESE ITEMS AT HOME
• Metal water bottles, Stanley cups, and canned beverages (plastic bottles are encouraged).
• Personal iPads, tablets, and laptops. Only HCS-issued devices are permitted. Unauthorized devices will be confiscated and must be picked up by a parent/guardian.
Families, please help students prepare each evening and arrive on time. Together, we can maintain a safe, orderly, and academically focused environment!

Most people bringing personal laptops are doing so for work on college applications and applying for scholarships since you have to use personal accounts for those things... Crazy to hinder everybody instead of just going after the students that are caught using personal devices to mess about.
