A few of our students, Nour Habib, Hannah Nayar, and Serah Rejan were given the opportunity to present at the Speech language pathology stroke and aphasia interdisciplinary event! Our students were able to present on how stroke and aphasia can impact one’s mental health and what we as psychologists can do to help. It was exciting to collaborate with other disciplines and learn how each of us can serve this community in different ways! Hearing from those who have had a stroke and/or developed aphasia as well as their family members left us feeling inspired and excited to move forward in this career.
