*breaking news* @theroots added to the lineup celebration in DC this weekend!!!!!!!!! for @nmaahc!!!!

As a history/pop culture buff I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my favorite spot opened its doors. I can’t stress enough how mind blowing this place is to visit and experience. From our beginnings of our “arrival here” to the countless discoveries of innovations and inventions we had a hand in that I had no clue about. To the JAW dropping visuals of things I never thought id see in this lifetime (let’s start with Emmett Till’s casket or the Angola Prison guard tower for starters all the way to the Pfunk Mothership, J Dilla’s MPC, and Janet Jackson’s actual Rhythm Nation key earring)

It was one thing to be there at the grand opening performing but to come back for the 10th year is even MORE miraculous. If ever in DC I am always taking out 3 hours minimum to revisit and see more. Shout out to Lonnie Bunch and the entire staff for keeping our stories and culture intact.

Which is why I couldn’t be happier that The Roots will be closing out the weekend anniversary celebrations on Sunday Sept 27th live for the “Blacksonian” (I mean we all dub it this no?) Please make time to experience this special event.

I don’t even need to stress how important it is for us to support this place in light of the powers that be that are gleefully attempting to erase our stories. It’s so important to keep all Smithsonian museums independent, so they can continue to tell our stories with honesty and integrity. If you want to help maintain the integrity of every Smithsonian museum, remember: you have the power to influence these decisions. Vote for leaders who will value and protect the Smithsonian this November.

See you good people this Sunday!!!

Excited to share the official trailer for FLETCHER STREET directed by @gargijannat and @daviddarg and Executive Produced by @questlove with original music by @jamespoyser and original song “Above the Fire” produced by @poplife5000. With gratitude to the amazing community who trusted us with their story @fletcherstreeturbanridingclub

We said we’d come back for Part 2—and we did. Arthur Baker, the architect behind “Planet Rock,” “Confusion,” and so much of the ’80s dance-floor sound, returns to The Questlove Show to finish what we started nearly a year ago.

@arthurhbaker takes us from carrying crates of vinyl onto airplanes to the Synclavier sessions for Hall & Oates’ Big Bam Boom, the clubs and DJs who shaped his sound, and the Brooklyn studio sessions that led to what he jokingly calls “New Arthur” records with New Order.

He also opens up about Streetwise Records, the making of Beat Street, the story behind “Sun City” and Artists United Against Apartheid, his connections to Miles Davis, Diana Ross, and Little Steven, and why he wrote his memoir, Looking For The Perfect Beat, for his daughter.

Arthur Baker is back.

Perfekcjonizm to wada czy zaleta?

Według mnie to wada. I mówię to z własnego doświadczenia.
A odpoczynek? Czasami nawet on wywołuje poczucie, że powinnaś robić coś więcej.

A Ty?

•wspolpraca ambasadorska•

Lubię kobaltowy kolor, a Wy?

Te zdjęcia zostawiam tutaj jako pamiątkę, by kiedyś wrócić do mojego instagramowego pamiętnika i znów poczuć choć część tamtych emocji.
