Looking at these pictures, I’m grateful. And I’m reminded that loving them is a responsibility I get to live out every day.

It’s putting my phone down.
Watching my tone when I’m tired.
Listening without rushing.
Saying “I’m sorry” and doing something differently.

I want my wife to know I’d choose her again.
I want my daughters to know they never have to earn Daddy’s love.

I won’t get every moment right. But I pray they never have to wonder whether they matter to me.

And if my imperfect heart can hold this much love for them… how much more does God love us?

Lord, help me love them in ways they can feel.
