October finally got the memo ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅพ itโ€™s my favourite season for dog walks when the sun is shining but the air is crisp!

Looking forward to many more Autumnal walks in the countryside ๐Ÿ

Take a look inside my pot to see what my bulb lasagnes look like! This will give me flowers in the same pot from Feb - June! Ad| all of my bulbs are from my favourite local garden centre @perrywoodgardencentres ๐Ÿชด Starting with a good gritty base for drainage and ideally stand your pot on some pot feet. ๐ŸŒธAdd compost and start with your tallest bulbs and for me that was Allium Purple Sensation. ๐ŸŒธAdd more compost and then add your next layer and for me this was the Tulip Shirley. ๐ŸŒธAnother layer of compost before adding a layer of my favourite Bridal Crown Narcissi. ๐ŸŒธFollowed by more compost and then I added Crocus Giant Striped. ๐ŸŒธTo finish off your posts and give colour until the bulbs appear you could top with violas and pansy. Some alternative layers below could include - Top - muscari, crocus, snowdrops Middle - daffodil, narcissi, hyacinths Bottom - allium, tulips A few tips: โ€ข Add a layer of compost between each type of bulb โ€ข Bulbs can be planted fairly close together in containers, but shouldnโ€™t be touching โ€ข Plant with the pointed end facing upwards โ€ข Water well after planting โ€ข Keep the pot outside and let nature do the rest! Plant now, forget about itโ€ฆ and thank yourself in spring ๐ŸŒท Save this for your autumn bulb planting! ๐ŸคŽ Bulb lasagne | garden tips | spring bulbs | garden content creator | cottage gardener

A hotel & location straight out of a Bond Movie ๐ŸธSave for your next trip! We had the most amazing few nights away in beautiful Lake Garda, Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น staying at the stunning @grandhotelfasano A hotel and location of dreams a 10/10 from us ๐Ÿค We spent a few days relaxing at the hotel enjoying everything it had to offer including heated outdoor pool, spa and lovely restaurants with views of dreams. We spent a day exploring different areas of the Lake using the ferry that we hopped on and off all day! A well needed few relaxing days away ๐Ÿค Is Lake Garda on your bucket list? AD| Thank you to @briggsandriley for our gorgeous cabin cases which made travelling away for a few days so easy with so many compartments and handy pockets along with the sleek and classy design. It wonโ€™t be long and 6pm wonโ€™t look quite like this so Iโ€™m savouring every evening I can in the garden! Still lots happening in the kitchen garden and more dahlias than I have vases for! Anyone else torn between making the most of the sunshine but also so ready for all of the cosiness ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ I have added a few subtle bits of autumn decor but I have decided to be very minimal this year as letโ€™s face it you know what happens in this house come November!
