Don’t marry someone because you see who God could make them into. Marry someone because you can see the fruit of who they are right now.
You cannot build a marriage on the hope that someone will eventually become honest, faithful, humble, or spiritually mature.
It’s easy to fall in love with someone’s potential while overlooking the patterns they’re showing you today. But potential isn’t character, and promises aren’t the same as consistent action.
Yes, God changes people. Yes, marriage requires growth. But you are not called to marry someone hoping you’ll be the reason they finally change.
Marry someone whose character you can trust today, not someone you’re hoping they’ll become tomorrow….Comment “podcast” and we’ll send you the link to this week’s episode!

This is such an important distinction. Growth is welcome in marriage, but a woman should not have to become someone’s spiritual rehabilitation plan; present fruit gives her something real to discern. After years of coaching women, I’ve seen how much clarity returns when patterns carry more weight than promises.

Modern women want perfect men in a world with no moral guidance and/or learning from mistakes.

Definitely read this as “Marry who they are not” 🥲

It's not about lowering my standards, it's about being open to what God has in store.

I think you need punctuation. Otherwise, this is super unclear.
