The discourse is discoursing obviously and so much of it is ‘ha ha he’s gross and fat’ and i just think there’s so much more to work with! The person who’s looks you’re criticising aren’t going to see your comments but your friend who loves you and may be struggling will see that you connect awfulness with body size. Takes the same amount of time to criticise someone’s terrible talent or value system. Let’s do that instead!

You’re absolutely right - there are so many things to comment on with this guy that we don’t need to even consider his appearance. I said on another comedian’s thread how embarrassed people defending SG should be that this is the sort of basic thing they laugh at and the replies have been a thread of anon accounts mocking my appearance rather than engaging with the actual comment. There’s not a lot of difference between the two groups!

Especially during these times, it's hard for a fat person to know who are safe political allies. Hard to support people with your full chest if you've just heard them slur opponents based on physical traits. Not to mention, an indicator of moral and intellectual bankruptcy.
