Choosing your wedding venue is such a big part of the planning process, and it really does shape your day in so many ways. Dating Rich Older Men Can Increase Young Women’s Appetite for Material Things, Which Can Cause Them Delay In Getting Married — Pastor Bolaji Idowu Warns Pastor Dolapo has warned young women that dating older, wealthier married men could raise their financial expectations and contribute to marital delay. His comments followed a lady’s account of how she left a farmer who helped establish her aesthetics business because she considered him stingy, only to later regret her decision. The lady said, “I swear I hate stingy men,” explaining that her previous boyfriend “was like he was everything, he gave me everything, he didn’t even want me to work.” She said the farmer asked about her weekly earnings before helping her start her business but later frustrated her because “if I ask him for money, he will calculate what I want to use the money for.” Reacting, Pastor Dolapo said, “When you are a young girl and you begin to date married men that are older and richer, it will do something negative to you. One of the things it will do, it will expand your appetite.” He added, “You don’t know, you will just say, ‘What is one million?’ You are just 26, one million is a lot of money in this country to you.” He further asked, “So you are this 26-year-old girl and you are saying, ‘I want to date a guy that will buy me a Range Rover.’ How many eligible, ready-to-marry single people can afford those things?” The lady said she regretted leaving the farmer and was still searching for someone like him. Her uncle had also questioned her decision, asking whether she had left someone who could help her calculate her profit from her capital. When church members shouted, “Men dey,” Pastor Dolapo laughed and said, “You preach somewhere and they don’t accept a message, you dust your shoe.”
