Today is #AHPDay, an annual and much-deserved celebration of the Allied Health Professions, the third largest clinical workforce within the NHS. AHPs play a vital role in helping people prevent, manage and recover from health conditions, delivering care across a wide range of settings.

For us, AHP Day provides an opportunity to discuss an important question: what could AHP recognition mean for chiropractic, and why does it matter?

As part of our Count Us In campaign, we're sharing answers to some of the most common questions about AHP recognition and the role it could play in supporting MSK patients and healthcare services.

Our focus is on securing:

• A transparent route to considering AHP status for chiropractic
• Greater understanding of chiropractic's role in musculoskeletal (MSK) care
• Practical exploration of how chiropractors could contribute within healthcare pathways and MSK services

Ultimately, this conversation is about patients. As demand for MSK care continues to grow, we're advocating for greater recognition of regulated chiropractic expertise and exploring how it can help improve access, choice and collaboration within healthcare.
