I’m excited to share a project I’ve been working on for a while: the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation 2026 Gala Video & @nwparkinsons

This film is especially close to my heart because it gave me the opportunity to include my own grandparents while telling a story that reaches far beyond my family.

Through this project, I’ve learned so much about the challenges of living with Parkinson’s and the incredible work the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation is doing to support individuals and families affected by the disease. From community events and physical activity programs to educational resources, support groups, dedicated staff, board members, and conferences, the foundation continues to bring people together and provide hope in the face of a growing challenge.

My goal with this film was to capture the reality of living with Parkinson’s, recognize the strength of those navigating it every day, and highlight the ongoing need for community support, awareness, and funding.

As a filmmaker, projects like this remind me why I love what I do. Video has the power to tell meaningful stories, connect people, and bring attention to causes that truly matter.

I’m grateful to have played a part in sharing this story and hope it encourages more people to learn about Parkinson’s and support the incredible work being done by the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation.
