Comment “INTERVIEW” if you’re preparing for behavioural interviews. 👇
If you’ve ever walked out of an interview thinking,
“I knew the answer… I just couldn’t say it.”
This question is probably one of the reasons why.
Most people think the interviewer is asking whether you’ve done something adventurous.
So you end up saying things like:
“I took on a new project.”
“I challenged myself to learn a new skill.”
But that’s not what the interviewer is looking for.
They’re trying to understand how you respond when you’re uncomfortable.
Can you take ownership before you feel ready?
Can you adapt when there’s no clear playbook?
Can you keep moving even when confidence hasn’t caught up yet?
A stronger answer sounds like this:
“I was asked to lead a cross-functional initiative that I’d never handled before. Instead of avoiding it, I broke the problem into smaller parts, sought feedback from experienced colleagues, and kept iterating as I learnt. The project wasn’t successful because I was confident from Day 1. It was successful because I stayed resourceful despite being uncomfortable.”
See the difference?
You’re no longer telling the interviewer what happened.
You’re showing them how you think under pressure.
And that’s what makes you memorable.
Remember this:
Interviewers aren’t hiring people who never feel uncomfortable.
They’re hiring professionals who can perform despite being uncomfortable.
That’s exactly why we built Interview Catalyst™.
Because memorising answers won’t save you when the interviewer asks the next question.
You need frameworks that help you think clearly, communicate confidently, and adapt in real time across behavioural, leadership, HR, and managerial interviews.
If you’re tired of knowing the answer but not knowing how to say it, comment “INTERVIEW” and I’ll send you the details 👇
