Join us for our next training Multimedia Field Reporting: The Art of the Resourceful Reporter. Sign up by tomorrow to attend each Thursday: October 15th, 22nd and 29th at 6:00 -7:30 PM, Willard 224
There’s more to vertical video than just looking good and talking at a smartphone. Reporting and filing from the field is a way to connect with your audience, make the news digestible, and keep information timely. It’s also an increasingly popular method of sharing the news, so reporters must think multimodally: content, scripting, audio, images, editing, engagement, impact and usefulness. This three-part series offers you the opportunity to learn the skills required for reporting on-the-go and the option to earn a badge highlighting your mastery. It’s also just in time for election coverage!
You must attend all three sessions: The Magic of Vertical Video, 10/15; The Art of High-quality Audio, 10/22; and The Craft of Capturing Visuals, 10/29. By signing up for the first session, you are automatically registered for the 2nd and 3rd.
