Friday we lay my Uncle Steve to rest. He was much more like a father to me, as each of my uncles happily stepped in and loved on me as their own…
I’m going to miss his full body laugh, with its cadence just like my cousin Steve Jr’s.
I love that I can still hear it in my head.
I love that he looked just like my mom.
I love how often he called and texted just to say hi.
I love that he called me “daughter two” and that my cousin Stephanie, who loves her daddy in the strongest way, happily shared him with me.
I love that he ALWAYS left a voicemail, even though he knew I’d call right back.
Second slide is one from my birthday, I must’ve missed his call and I probably didn’t even listen to it before calling right back.
I love that I still have it now though..

“It’s special.” Back home in Sydney with Joseph Zada for #TheHungerGames: Sunrise on the Reaping.

Happy Place has offered me so much over the last 9 years. Not only the chance to sit and chat with some seriously fascinating people and hear life changing story telling, but it’s also given me the chance to build a business.
I didn’t see it in my future and when I was mentally in a black hole I could never have imagined a pivot like this. Building @happyplaceofficial from the ground up has been a privilege. I’m learning on the job, getting an understanding of what you lot want, need and don’t like, and am constantly buzzing with ideas as to where we can take it next. I want the podcast to keep getting better, the @happyplacebookclub to grow, and our @happyplacefestival to become even more of a special space.
This week I got to travel to the south of France to take part in a talk about Happy Place and how it’s constantly changing and expanding. A total treat.

No, this isn’t AI 🚀 Tesla has finally unveiled the new-gen Tesla Roadster and it features quite the gravity defying party trick

Tesla’s equipped the new Roadster with a suction fan that helps it stay glued to the surface. Using cold-gas thrusters, developed jointly with Space X, it can also perform flips, barrel rolls and safely hover to the ground. Of course, this was simply a demo, and there’s no word on the legality of this for road use.
