As a veteran myself, I understand why access to military installations, commissaries, VA facilities and other veteran resources can be an important part of choosing where to live.
We recently worked with someone who was considering a different part of Florida specifically because of its proximity to a military base.
But what they hadn’t realized was just how significant the military presence is right here in Northeast Florida!
The Jacksonville area is home to multiple military installations, including Naval Air Station Jacksonville and Naval Station Mayport, along with a large military and veteran community.
And Florida offers a variety of benefits and programs for eligible veterans.
Sometimes the place that checks your boxes isn’t the place you originally thought to look!
