Never seeing someone again. Never smelling their scent again. Never hearing their voice, never feeling their warmth.

To me, that is what death means. Never again.

I know that time fades things. Memories become less clear. Voices slowly disappear from our minds.

I have had near-death experiences. They are among the most powerful experiences a human being can have. Strangely enough, you don’t come back feeling lost. Quite the opposite. You become more aware.

My books have always been autobiographical. I have always written about how I felt, how I lived, how I experienced life. This new book is no different. It is about how I feel and how I live today.
This is how I see death. It is a never again. A change of state. An irreversible one.

I know what never again means.

Credit to @mia_blichfeldt my opponent in the final played exceptional well. It’s really amazing finals in Finland even though I lost both them in 2024 and 2026 😅🥈

I decided to withdraw due to a slight flare-up of my injury, I thought I might have to skip the final as I had to assess my physical condition every morning to see if I was up to it. however, I wanted to go in there and give my best even if my body wasn't quite where I wanted it to be. After the tournament in Finland I consulted with my coach and decided that I needed my body some more rest. We are concerned about the potential long-term consequences if I continue to push myself too hard.

Thank you to everyone who has been concerned about my injury. Aim to return to the court as soon as possible but for now I need to listen what my body is telling me. 💚🙏

Up coming next is 🇫🇷

A little hope, once released, can travel further than we ever will. We just need to let it out of the closed vessel of our heart.
