A new chapter in Hobsons Bay’s wetlands vision has begun with the opening of The Mounds in Altona Meadows. 🌿
The new landscaped reserve, featuring native grasslands, walking paths and elevated boardwalks overlooking Laverton Creek, is Stage 1 of the proposed Hobsons Bay Wetlands Centre.
With Hobsons Bay City Council committing $5 million towards the next stage, the project’s future now depends on securing a further $5 million in funding.
