35 DAYS until I step onto a bikini fitness competition stage 🍑🙈 and I still have around 18kg I’d ultimately like to lose. I started this 165 days out, 30kg overweight. I’m a mum of two. And for YEARS I’ve said: “I’m going to lose the weight.” And I HAVE lost it before. Quite a few times actually But I always ended up putting it back on. Because I’d lose the weight, celebrate being finished with my diet, and then go straight back to living exactly how I did before. I didn’t change my habits, relationship with food or get rid of the excuses. And then wonder why I ended up back where I started. What if instead of trying to lose 30kg, I focused on becoming the woman who naturally lives 30kg lighter? The woman who enjoys walking, Who strength trains, Who eats her protein and whole foods, Who doesn’t need to spend every evening on the sofa eating crap. Who actually ENJOYS looking after herself. Because I don’t want to spend the rest of my life fighting myself to stay a certain size. I want these things to become so normal that I don’t even think about them anymore. Like brushing my teeth. And I’m starting to feel that happening. 34 days left. Am I going to look how I imagined on that stage? I genuinely don’t know 😂 But I’m not going back to the woman who started this 131 days ago. Because the goal was never really to finish another diet. It was to NEVER NEED ANOTHER ONE.
