An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language.
ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language.

Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK.

In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: “Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed.”

“Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations.”

Cowardice? Moral collapse? As we near a pivotal election, 99 members of the US Senate still refuse to use the word “genocide” to describe Israel’s actions in Gaza even though the consensus opinion of almost every scholar and human rights group in the world is that a genocide is occurring. This deafening silence is obvious proof that the US government has subordinated a chunk of its foreign policy to the interests of another country. It’s not like one has to go out on a limb to use the word. In the rest of the world it’s not even controversial. The overwhelming consensus of the world’s 500 genocide scholars and leading human rights groups (including @amnesty and @humanrightswatch) is that the Netanyahu government is committing genocide. Yet all US Senators but Bernie Sanders refuse to use the word. Chuck Schumer refuses to use it. Chris Van Hollen, John Ossoff, Ed Markey, Susan Collins, Elizabeth Warren, and Elise Slotkin refuse to use it. My research also indicates not a single one of the 50 US governors (24 of them Dems) uses the word. The silence from the Democrats reinforces the notion that there is no effective national opposition party in the US. Certainly not one with the guts to take on Trump and the power structure. The Senate not only is silent, but has voted to send billions of dollars worth of bombs and other weaponry to Israel which are used to carry out the horrific acts. The crime of genocide was codified by the international community in 1948 as acts “committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group.” At least seven credible international human rights groups or UN bodies have found that Israel’s actions meet the criteria. They include the Israel-based @btselem and Physicians for Human Rights. The International Court of Justice issued a provisional ruling in 2024 that acknowledged Israel was likely committing genocide. In 2025, a UN Commission of Inquiry released a devastating report finding that Israel is committing genocide. The list goes on and on. When facing the greatest moral issue of our time, 99% of Senators fail to call it like it is. Unconscionable. 👊👊

WHAT A HUGE SURPRISE. 🥹 I’ve been nominated for the @europeanoutdoorfilmtour Adventurer Award, and I can hardly believe it. This award celebrates people who use the outdoors as a platform for something bigger than physical achievements. People who create impact, stand up for what matters, and use their adventures to challenge perspectives, build awareness and make the world a better place, environmentally, socially and as global citizens. After 14 months cycling across Europe and Africa and seven months touring cinemas across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with @samesun.film, this nomination feels like the most beautiful and unexpected way to close this chapter. Because for me, the journey has always been about more than the kilometres. Through my travels and films, I want to show that we are stronger than our fears, that we are more connected than we think, and that meeting people beyond borders, challenging stereotypes and seeing each other as human beings, with all our complexities, struggles and hopes, can change the way we see the world. At a time when populism, racism and dehumanisation are threatening the very foundations of our societies, building bridges is not a naive dream. It is a necessity. We need to look beyond borders, backgrounds and beliefs and remember that we are all human beings under the same sun. Not only do we owe each other respect. We depend on each other.
