@summerwalker is now suing LVRN, the label and management company that signed her in 2017.
Her complaint accuses LVRN of fraud, breach of contract and failing to act in her best interests. She's asking the court to declare her 2017 deal void.
It alleges LVRN took money from her tour, recording, marketing and merch budgets, sold merch with her name on Amazon without paying her, and ran a YouTube page in her name without her knowledge. LVRN didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
This comes days after
@interscope sued her for more than $50 million over albums it says she still owes.
The lesson for every artist: her complaint says she had no independent lawyer when she signed. Get your own, and get it in writing who controls your name, your merch and your channels.
Have you ever signed something without your own lawyer reading it first?
