She never asked me to change. She just needed me to be here.
At over 550 pounds, I couldn’t keep up with my own daughter. I’d watch her run and play, and the shame hit harder than the exhaustion. This little girl deserved a healthy father — and I wasn’t him.
God used her as my catalyst. Every workout, every meal, every hard day… I wasn’t just losing weight. I was fighting for the right to show up for her.
300+ pounds later, the father I dreamed to be became my reality.
And I still have one goal left: to be healthy enough to walk her down the aisle one day. Strong. Present. Still here.
