Nearly 9 in 10 autistic women in one study reported experiencing sexual violence. WHY?! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!

I’m one of them, and the Jane Doe incident at Cornell has felt so deeply personal lately. I know I’m not the only one. And when I started digging into the research, i had a startling realization: There are deeply disturbing reasons autistic women may be at greater risk, and there’s just SO much I wish someone had taught me about consent, manipulation, boundaries, and trusting myself earlier in life, in a way that actually made sense to ME and how *i* process information.

So I wrote an incredibly personal, research-backed substack breaking down WHY this is happening, the warning signs we aren’t teaching our girls to recognize, and **8 concrete, potentially life-changing tools every parent can start teaching TODAY**. Real scripts, real scenarios, and the information I wish I’d had 20 years ago.

We can’t keep teaching girls to be agreeable at the expense of their own safety. And we absolutely cannot keep putting the responsibility for sexual violence on the people experiencing it.
