Don’t get me wrong, I complain about my job A LOT.

But I LOVE creating a classroom where kids actually want to be in

I love sharing stories and giving them a space to share about their lives

I love when they are more excited to beat me to, “GOOD AFTERNOON MRS KOZUN” waving and smiling 🥹

I love when I see them actually taking notes and waiting for me to teach them more

I love when they want to come share something with me because they know I’ll care

I love when they ask for help because they know I want to and I’ll be patient

There are so many good things about my job that sometimes get overshadowed by the excessive meetings, overdue paperwork, and disciplinary items, but when I actually take a minute and SEE the difference (I think) I’m making, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
