These photos are from my Camino de Santiago pilgrimage along the Portuguese Litoral Way last year.
I chose them because they capture the soul searching behind this post. Trying to understand what I’ve been through and how I want to move forward. Hearing and seeing the recent news about Cornell Gang Rape and now the SNL skit from Shane Gillis has really triggered me to say the least. I've found myself in cycles of grief having to think about it all.
Being conflicted on whether I should speak up or stay quiet. I've decided to speak up. Because staying quiet will never get us to change. It just buries the pain again.
There’s a lot behind the adventures and finish lines I share here. This is one part I’m choosing to talk about it openly, because of the recent events and I feel my voice needs to be heard.
I am Jane Doe. 1 in 3 Women are Jane Doe. It is Heavy and it's Not Funny. Things need to change. Who's side are you on?
