Fully transparent moment: Today I snapped a quick pic in the cutest @smashfestqueen shorts before my run and immediately thought “oh shit I better edit that before I post it bc oooooof my thighs. And also I look pasty. And my calendar says November” 😉 And then I was like “fuck it” because that’s dumb and I posted it on my stories. But I wanted to share that what you see on social media SO often is edited. This first pic is edited (swipe for side by side OG vs edited) and took less than five mins to smooth and tan my legs, make them thinner, make my waist slimmer, and cover the November on my calendar. Small little tweaks that you’d probably never notice but I swear they play into your subconscious while you’re scrolling (at least they do in mine). So shout out to all the peeps that edit pix because that shit is tedious. And reminder to all of us that what’s on social media doesn’t always reflect reality. It’s not about being perfect but the more you do, the better your odds. 🩷 so grateful to have @tracysrealfoods and @plantdiego helping educate San Diego about ways to heal from the inside out! All the vegan food I ate in vegas…. When traveling for work, the vegan options in vegas are more limited and I don’t get to hit all my favorite spots but still made it work!!
1: @caesarspalace conference food with tons of vegan options! Cauliflower schwarma, tabbouleh, a couple fun salads, and basmati rice. Delish!
2: Vegan version of eggplant parm from the oldest steakhouse in vegas! @goldensteerlv
3: @wynnlasvegas terrace pointe cafe chick’n and waffles
4: @mokbar_nyc vegan dumplings
5: more @mokbar_nyc! Vegan ramen
6: @hellskitchen cauliflower steak
7: @hellskitchen plain pasta bc they had literally nothing vegan besides vegetables
8: @hellskitchen coconut sorbet
9: @livetruefood amazing vegan pizza
10: Conference lunch was no good but banana pudding dessert was delish!

@viridianproductionssd put on the most fun #vegfest and @plantdiego and @plantbasedtreatysfvalley put together the best speaker stage! We had a blast all day starting with the @physicianscommittee let’s beat breast cancer rally, where we had the most amazing leaders in this space speak, including @joelfuhrmanmd and his daughter @drcarafuhrman! Then jam packed amazing panels about thriving on a vegan diet, the impact of animal ag on the planet, and the future of food. I got to moderate the last panel and was grateful to get to meet all of the amazing speakers that donated their time to be with us. Plus we had incredible music between speakers with @cf.gainz and @miggy_smallz! And our amaaaazing MC of the day, @letsbendreality! Incredible event and already brainstorming what we can do next year! 🎉🎉🎉 taken in San Diego, California by @terrypaulette

Since San Diego decided to become Florida to celebrate the start of September I decided to make this vegan cold soba noodle salad from @betterfoodguru! Modifications: I added some air fried tofu, used bok choy instead of baby bok choy (bc sprouts was out), shredded the daikon in a food processor bc im lazy, bought coleslaw mix instead of shredding cabbage and carrots (see previous comment re lazy), and skipped the cilantro bc I forgot 🙈 Also I used frozen ginger cubes in the dressing bc again… lazy. And you know what? It’s delicious! So perfect to be able to grab a quick bowl for lunch and not have to cook anything this week! 🥵 taken in San Diego, California by @terrypaulette

Seeing a show at @redrocksco has been on my bucket list as long as I can remember. When @aquagirl82 asked me if I wanted to head to Denver for a weekend to see @lcdsoundsystem there I was hesitant for a second because squeezing another trip into an already hectic summer of travel felt like a lot! But I live by #fibi and I’m so glad we came!! Some tips based on our experience:
⭐️ we stayed by Union station and booked the shuttle that gets you there and back- no trying to get an uber (it’s 20-30 minutes from Union station)
⭐️ you can drink on the shuttle and tailgate before going into the show, which was perfect bc the shuttle gets you there before doors even open
⭐️ you can bring single pocket bags like tote bags into the venue!
⭐️ the GA area has amazing views and seating was full by the time the headliner started but until then, there were random seats still around. If you want views of Denver and the whole landscape, GA is great! If you want better views of the stage, closer up might be better
⭐️ Sitting on the “benches” can hurt your booty after a while and if it rains, it’s obviously wet. Bring a blanket or stadium cushion to sit on! I bought one there with a back and it saved me!
⭐️ there’s a water bottle refill station and lovely bathrooms inside the visitor center where the line was always super short and moved fast. And clean!
⭐️ prepare to go up… up stairs, up hills, lots of up 😂 and at this elevation, I was breathing hard with every stair 😂😂😂

Definitely get there if you can- there’s something so magical about that space and the views and the stars…. So grateful! taken in Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre by @terrypaulette
