The SDGPO X @walkaboutapp St. Patrick’s Day crawl was a huge success ☘️💚✨
Thank you to the business owners at @original40beer @bivouaccider and @619spiritsnorthpark for having us and their kickass staff for doing THE MOST! Thank you to the friendly faces at the @walkaboutapp for ensuring the whole process went without a hitch (and thanks to the techies for letting me do such a complicated event 😉😂) and lastly THANK YOU to everyone that came and downloaded Walkabout! HAPPY VEGANUARY!
A good time was had by all at the event we cohosted with @viridianeventproductions.
We celebrated @weareveganuary by having a vegan resource booth at @veganfoodpopup North Park and giving out yummy food samples from @tracysrealfoods @evolutionfastfood @vegan_mirai @valsvegankitchen and more! @plantbasedmealsnow was there to help make the transition super easy with healthy meal prep. We had vegan nutrition & lifestyle presentations to help people fulfill their goals. We also had a cookbook and healthy cookies from Tracy’s REAl Foods giveaway!

Many things in life you can control the outcomes of but I can take no credit for being born into this amazing family. 🩷 grateful for every second I get to spend with them!

We were honored to volunteer at @frightforfuture at Boo by the Bay! In our booth we taught kids with a trick or treat game, about the dangers of our demand for palm oil and ruining animal natural habitats. 🫤 They looked at the ingredients and in the game, threw those containing palm oil (and dairy too) in the trash. We gave out @tracysrealfoods double chocolate cookies as a prize!

Do you use palm oil (also known as vegan butter/Earth Balance) or do you try to avoid it?

When I was growing up we ate a lot of Chinese food and like the pack rat that I am, I obviously saved every fortune cookie fortune. When I was in junior high I went through a bunch of them and realized that on almost every single one, the number 43 showed up as a lucky number. So 43 became my number- my first email address was dukane43 and my aol screen name was smiles043. So now that I’m FINALLY 43, I know this is going to be an insanely epic year and the first week has been nothing short of what I expect from the year. Got a massage, celebrated @brucemode619, saw @dogstarband (KEANU!), celebrated with @kjames926 and our amazing friends, went to another super fun sushi party at @maureenvdawson and @kjohnston1984’s, rocked a bayside run with the best running friends, volunteered with @veganjusticesd, and ended with @ikessandwiches at my mom’s. #cantstopwontstop energy for the next year… LFG! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Tried some vegan thai meatballs from @hungryplanetfoods tonight and they were bomb! Especially over @team.vpa sponsor @fullgreen.official cauliflower rice + spinach + some @allyallsfoods prickly pear teriyaki jerky. And all topped with @wellyourworld everything asian sauce. All so delish! I love finding yummy new vegan products to try! @terrypaulette
