US President Donald Trump announced an energy ceasefire in Russia’s war against Ukraine on October 11. Ukraine adhered to the call by pausing strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, while Russia continued its attacks on Ukrainian power facilities. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov then rejected any ceasefire with Ukraine during a press conference in Baku on Thursday, October 15.
