Yesterday, I was the solo flight crew for a @wingsofrescue_official mission, loading and flying 30 large-breed dogs and 25 cats from Riverside to @seattlehumane . Large dogs can be especially hard to place here in Los Angeles, so getting them to Seattle, where they have a great chance of being adopted, gives them a fresh start.

One of those dogs spent five hours on my lap. We were both wedged into a position that wasn’t exactly comfortable, but she never complained or fussed. We just enjoyed each other’s company, and the flight flew by.

I’ve flown thousands of dogs with Wings of Rescue, and every once in a while, one makes it impossible to say goodbye. I think I met my soul dog yesterday. She may be making one more trip south—this time to join my other two rescues and become part of our tribe. ❤️🐾✈️ #letthefurfly
