There shouldn’t be an expiration date on a pet.

But when shelters are full, time runs out fast.

This week alone, Wings of Rescue will fly nearly 400 pets to partners in seven cities.

Tuesday: 250 lives.
Friday: another 140.

We wish pet overpopulation weren’t the reality. But it is.

So we fly pets to safety and into communities ready to welcome them.

Want to help? Support a flight. Shop our merch. Visit our Amazon Wish List. Share our mission.

Every action helps give another pet somewhere else to go.

95,000 is hard to picture.

So picture this:

If you lined up 95,000 pet crates end to end, they would stretch roughly 45 miles. 🐾✈️

45 miles of second chances.
45 miles of pets who needed somewhere else to go.
45 miles of lives moved toward safety and a better future.

We’re almost at 95,000 pets flown.

Thank you for helping us get them there.

On Tuesday, more than 300 pets will leave Merced and Stanislaus County for communities with room to receive them.

Wings of Rescue will fly 200+ pets to Oregon and Washington, while START Rescue transports the remaining pets by ground to other destinations.

Sometimes the answer is in the air. Sometimes it’s on the road.

What matters is creating as many pathways out as possible for pets who need somewhere else to go.

With eight flights and counting this October, we’re grateful for the partners who help make this work possible.

October is shaping up to be a busy month for Wings of Rescue.

So far this year, our flights have touched 23 states, 2 Canadian provinces, Puerto Rico, and multiple countries across North America and the Caribbean.

Every flight takes all hands on deck. Sending shelters. Receiving partners. Pilots. Crews. Ground teams. Supporters.

This is the work we’ve accomplished together, and October is already filling up.

Thank you for helping us keep the fur flying.

Sheriff of Nottingham was our 93,000th pet flown.

And very soon, Wings of Rescue will reach 95,000 pets transported to safety since our first flight.

But the number is only part of the story.

Sheriff came from a cruelty case. He had been horribly mistreated. Today, he waits for his girls to get off the school bus.

That is what transport can change.

When overcrowded shelters are connected with communities that have open kennel space, pets get another chance. And sometimes, that chance looks like this: a dog who once knew fear now waiting at home for the family he loves.

These are the moments happening all across the country because people choose to make room, make connections, and help us move pets where they have a future.

It is an incredible gift to be part of that journey.

Thank you for helping us keep these stories moving.

Yesterday, Wings of Rescue flew 289 pets out of Florida to communities ready to receive them.

That brings us to more than 9,700 pets flown this year alone, and we already have six more large-scale flights ahead.

We are on track for a record-breaking year, and that is because of the people who make this work possible.

Our donors, partners, shelters, pilots, crews, and supporters help turn every flight into another chance for pets who need somewhere else to go.

Thank you for standing with us and helping make this year one of our biggest yet.

Tomorrow morning, 290 cats and dogs will leave Fort Lauderdale for New Hampshire and New York.

Think about that for a second. Nearly 300 pets. Nearly 300 individual lives being moved because shelters, rescue partners, flight crews, donors, and communities came together to give them somewhere else to go.

That is what large-scale rescue looks like.

Tomorrow, you’ll get to see it happen.

Join us LIVE from the tarmac as we load the plane and send these pets on their way.

And to everyone who helps fund these flights, shares our work, and believes these lives are worth saving, thank you. You are part of every single one.

Change of flight plans, but not a change in mission.

We were scheduled to fly early Saturday morning from Dallas to New Jersey and Connecticut, along with another flight out of Florida. Because of the weather, our Dallas flight moved up to this past Thursday night and our Florida flight has been pushed to Monday morning.

The weather may change the schedule, but it won’t stop us from saving lives.

Tune in Monday as we go live from Fort Lauderdale, flying pets to New Hampshire and New York.

Thank you for always supporting our flights, sharing our mission, and helping keep this work moving.

Good evening from Dallas. ✈️🐾

We’re flying a day early tonight to stay ahead of the weather and make sure the pets and our teams travel safely.

This plane is headed to New Jersey and Connecticut with a load full of pets getting their first real chance.

Our Florida flight has also been moved to Monday because of the weather.

To everyone who donates, shops our merchandise, shares our mission, and helps keep these flights moving, thank you.

You make it possible to keep the fur flying.

Cats deserve the flight too. 🐾✈️

This Saturday, Wings of Rescue is flying more than 200 cats out of southern Florida to shelter partners in New Hampshire and New York.

A female cat can begin having kittens at just 4–5 months old. In warmer places like southern Florida, breeding can continue nearly year-round.

One unspayed cat becomes a litter. Then those kittens grow up and reproduce too.

The numbers add up fast, and shelters are left trying to keep up.

Cats are every bit as much a part of this mission as dogs.

This weekend, more than 200 of them are getting somewhere else to go.

There is so much care behind every flight that most people never get to see.

Pilots preparing. Flight crews checking every detail. Sending shelters making sure pets are ready. Teams on the ground caring for them every step of the way.

Moments like this remind us just how much heart is behind every Wings of Rescue mission.

We wish this work were not necessary. But with back-to-back flights this weekend, the need is still very real.

Thank you for standing with us and helping make these flights possible.
