In case I have not been clear:
This chaplain, Korean American, son to immigrants, husband and father and human, loves you. Unconditionally and counter-conditionally.
Trans community, I love you.
LGBTQ+ community, I love you.
LGBTQ+ parents and couples and children and siblings, I love you.
No equivocation. No hesitation. I will never say “love the sinner hate the sin.” I love the whole person.
Not that you need this from me, but:
I fully embrace you for you. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️♥️

I don’t normally ever drop names, but this is a bridge I will burn brightly.
Christianity Today wanted to interview me for my work with deathbeds and grief until they found out I was affirming.
It’s wild and absurd how much “the Christian church” is willing to forfeit anything outside their myopic fragile little kingdom because I will not hate the same people that they do.
Burning that bridge all the way down through the pylons.

I condemn the regressive overturning of our safety, education, healthcare.

Grateful for your voice. And sad to see what “Christianity” writ large has become in this country. Literally turning its back on the actual teachings of Jesus.
