This Halloween, Lighthouse is bringing family, community, and a love for the game to Spooky Nook!
Meet Siddeeq Bowie, aka Coach Deeq — father, mentor, and community advocate dedicated to making a difference through basketball. He is the Director of Lighthouse Lions AAU Basketball program.
Founded in 1893, Lighthouse has been a beacon of hope in the Philadelphia community for generations. Coach Deeq began coaching with Lighthouse in 2022 and launched its first travel basketball team in 2024, establishing an AAU program built on family, discipline, and opportunity.
As an R.O.V. (Recreation Over Violence) team member, Coach Deeq uses basketball to help keep kids off the streets, build confidence, and give them a positive environment to grow both on and off the court. 🏀💯
WHY LOVE DAY HOOPS? Coach Deeq says every event feels like home. The love, atmosphere, and family environment make it more than basketball — it’s a community!
At Scary Hours presented by Love Day Hoops the Lighthouse Lions will be in full force with all of their teams in attendance!
