Another clear example of why you can't let yt men ever lead the revolution. They still don't see racism as a threat

The "US" has always been fascist. "Neoliberalism" isn't a useful concept for explaining why things seem to be getting worse. Your analysis is trash.

You're beyond wrong on this one man, the Nazis took tips from us and couldn't believe we weren't on their side.

I see your point but I am curious how you feel about the traditional Black Panther view that America has always been fascist

liberalism came before fascism so fascism can’t be first. Fascism is a form of authoritarianism/totalitarianism that can only grow from within a liberal capitalist society, when it destabilizes. In fact it was the capitalism that grew out of colonialism and the slave trade that allowed liberal society to flourish. The exploitation of overseas resources by the mercantile class is what gave them enough resources to overthrow the aristocracy. The exploitation of foreign resources isn’t fascism, it’s colonialism. The things you’re talking about are the actions of settler colonialism, not fascism. The same dynamics of colonialism still play out today in how liberal capitalist societies still exploit the Global South. This is why the revolution cannot stop at the working class of just one particular nation, and is the reason we have the phrase “None of us are free, until we are all free.”

This is petty arguing over semantics. The USA has always had a culture of imperialism rooted in capitalism & classism. It's not fascism but it is equally exploitative and harmful. Crack open a history book

I think part of the argument is that American ideals have always been of the same blend that make up fascist ideals tbf. The obsession with upholding property rights at the direct cost of the continued oppression of “lessers” and the obsession w/Greek and Roman governance&culture does at least lend soome 🤏 credence to the notion that Americas always been fascist thoo (or more accurately has always been sorta proto-fascist)

It's always been fascist because there's always been a population in slavery or being genocided to generate wealth. Plus the meat industry is fascist and America exported their meat heavy diet to the world

Still though, the USA has been fascist for decades and decades. Like you point out, liberalism and neoliberalism are not mutually exclusive from fascism. As I understand it, fascism describes systems that need corporations to turn the gears, so to speak. uSA has been doing this for a long time, along with many other countries.

Why is Obama neoliberal while Trump is a fascist when they serve the same agenda and ideology? Is fascism defined by how explicit it is, because thats all thats changed

Im saying its always been fascist because its always maintained centralized planning while keeping privatization enforced and mandated. The Nationalists and their capital has almost always been socialized among them. Look at the US military.
