❤️ Before I found the love of my life, I had to find my way back to myself and learn to love the woman I was becoming.
Today, October 14, I celebrate nine years of marriage to the love of my life and ten years of a journey that transformed me in ways I could never have imagined❤️
Starting over in the United States meant letting go of everything I had known and everything I thought I knew. With the curiosity of a child, I embraced a new culture, learned a new language, and, most importantly, discovered a new Adriana a woman who came to understand that the most meaningful new beginnings happen when we find our way back to ourselves.
Before I could experience the love I had always dreamed of, I had to learn to enjoy my own company, embrace both my light and my shadows, honor my boundaries, and never compromise my values just to be loved.
I prayed for a love I had not yet met. I trusted God, did my part, and learned to surrender control over what was never mine to control.
And life surprised me in the most beautiful way. ✨
Ten years after arriving in America and nine years after saying “I do” to Mark, I can say this with all my heart: the life we have built together is even more beautiful than I ever imagined.
Today, I celebrate the man I love, the life we share, and, above all, the woman I have become along the way.
This is the final episode of The Art of Starting Over, but it is far from the end of the journey.
As one chapter comes to a close, another begins to unfold: my upcoming book, Decoding the Signs about the signs life places before us and the wisdom we must learn to recognize within ourselves.
