Idk why school makes it so complicated but in super duper simple at its core: POWDERED vs MILLED/PRESSED PORCELAIN. (that’s all you need to know as a dentist. If you’re a lab tech there’s probably way more differences but I ain’t layering it so I don’t need to know 🤣

Lab work in video is by the one and only @opaldentallabcorp !! Shoutout Wissam 🙌🏻

EMAX is the brand name for lithium disilicate
So like LiSi (in LiSi Press) is also Lithium disilicate

If you can — go visit your lab and watch them layer powdered porcelain!
It’s kinda wild

Does anyone ever complain about taste from the lithium or silicon ions that leach from emax?

So, which has the best marginal integrity? Why is that important? Can you do full pressed EMax? Of course, no feldspatic required. If you know how to use feldspathic you can change the value more than EMax. EMax has greater options to make changes to the veneer if you need to add to the veneer, volume or shade via firings. Nice dialogue, experience counts

Love this! Feldspathic porcelain can actually change shades in thinner increments compared to lithium disilicate. Keep up the cool content!

Feldespathic can also be milled 😬

Feldspathic can also be milled from a block, but it’s not the same as a layered

Interesting that this is not common knowledge. Emax was introduced in 2005. Feldspatics veneers are from the '80 with the acid etch technique
