Keira Izumi, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, was part of the inaugural season of the Women’s Pro Baseball League. She played alongside bona fide stars like Mo’ne Davis, who gained fame during the 2014 Little League World Series, and Olivia Pichardo, a Brown University pitcher who became the first woman to pitch in NCAA Division I baseball history.
