Our daughter Talley was 6 weeks old before we found out she had Down syndrome. 🤍

Our quadruplets were born at just 26 weeks, and Talley spent the first 6 weeks of her life needing CPAP to help her breathe.

Because our babies were so premature, some of the physical characteristics of Down syndrome were more difficult to recognize. Genetic testing had not been done, in part because distinguishing the results between four babies was a concern.

We had no idea. But God did all along. His plan unfolded, and He held our hands and walked right beside us.

Looking back at these tiny NICU pictures, I’m reminded of just how much she had already overcome before we even knew this part of her story.

Down syndrome was not something we had anticipated, but Talley has taught us so much about love, strength, and seeing the beauty in a story that unfolds differently than we imagined. 🤍
