You can be completely ready for a different home and still have no idea how you're supposed to get from this one to the next one.
That's pretty normal. (eeek!)
For some homeowners, selling first makes the most sense. For others, buying first may be worth exploring. Sometimes the conversation is about how closely the two moves could be coordinated.
Before deciding, I'd want to look at things like your current home, available cash, monthly comfort, timing and what you want the next move to accomplish.
