an hour ago@justasking.us.ca Better you looked up the law before being so sure. As a cyclist, you are expected to ride within a meter from the curb or parked cars on a roadway that's travelling faster than you, if--and only--if that part of the lane remains free of hazards or is wide enough to allow a vehicle to safely pass you with a meter between you, things that would otherwise require you to assume control of the entire lane for the sake of safety. --Section 147(1), Highway Traffic Act
2 hours agoConvincing a person in a wheelchair to block the removal of bike lanes because "police won't dare drag them off" isn't activism, it's using someone’s disability as a human shield for an agenda that isn't even theirs. The hypocrisy is unbelievable: cyclists lose their minds every time a TTC Wheel-Trans bus pauses in a bike lane to safely drop off a disabled passenger, but the second that same wheelchair can be weaponized as political leverage against work crews, suddenly they applaud it.
4 hours agoAs a cyclist myself, fully agree, but let's not be douchebags in the process. Taking an entire lane is legal if there are noticable hazards on the right side of the road, but you can still be charged with impeding traffic if you're holding traffic up with no reasonable explanation for doing so.
12 hours ago🖕🏽🚴🏽♂️... The exorbitant amount of 💲 we pay as motorists go towards road maintenance etc... So yeah, we do own the roads .. So stay the fuck out of the way! Especially in the winter 🤡'S
15 hours agoAs long as you respect the rules of the road it’s fine. The issue is because you blow lights, swerve around cars, and bike recklessly
