Interior Design Studio in New York

Quiet by Design | Our project in Cambridge, MA is finally done.

This space is a true study in restraint: clean geometric lines and a tonal palette, built on precision and proportion.

The building dates to the 1980s, and the renovation was thorough, with a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and new floors throughout. The brief was a home that feels modern, sophisticated and functional, so our design leaned on negative space and a pared-back palette. Every object we brought in had to earn its place. Every view was considered. All custom, as always.

Kate and I usually reach for vintage and handmade. Here we let that instinct soften instead of lead: a curve, a rounded edge, an organic silhouette set against all the straight lines. Then we stepped back and took a few things away, ALWAYS agreeing together on when each room was finished.

📷 @malcolmbrown, thank you for seeing it exactly the way we did.

✨Final images are on the way, which room do you want to see first?
