Today I took Zuri out to the countryside to meet my auntie and spend some time on her little farm. 🌿🤎

I wanted her to experience a different side of Jamaica. Not just the beaches and pretty views, but the slower mornings, the land, the animals, and the people who make this place feel like home to me.

Auntie welcomed her like she’d known her forever, and baby, Zuri wasted NO time making herself comfortable. 😂

We started with the goats, and from there she was on a mission. She collected fresh eggs from the chicken coop, fed carrots to the donkey, and absolutely fell in love with the rabbits. Every time I turned around, she was asking about another animal.

Watching her little face light up over the simplest things was probably my favorite part of bringing her here.

There’s something special about watching a child experience the world without needing much from it. Just a little curiosity, some sunshine, a few animals, and somebody willing to let them explore.

We left with dusty shoes, a hundred questions, and enough stories to last the whole ride home.

I think Auntie has herself a new favorite visitor. And judging by how Zuri was talking about those animals, I already know we’ll be back.😂
