I have really enjoyed growing my own radicchio this year. It’s one of my favourite bitter leaves to eat so it’s been great being able to grab and go!!

I decided upon growing bitter salad leaves this year because they are so nutritious and the slugs hate them!

The Democrats have not only flipped the House of Representatives, but have also flipped the Senate, seizing control of Congress from the Republicans. ___________________________________________________ According to CBS News, there were 35 Senate seats up for election in the midterms on Tuesday (November 3). And with the help of Americans across the nation, Democrats picked up four seats needed to gain control of the Senate. There were three major upsets in Texas, South Carolina and Kansas, plus additional seats in Ohio and North Carolina. Democrats also held onto seats in Georgia and New Hampshire.  ___________________________________________________ According to a map from The Associated Press, Democrats secured at least 51 seats by 11:46 p.m. EST. The Republicans held 39, with the tallies still being counted. Four people were killed in three separate shootings in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood on Halloween night. Now, their families and friends are remembering the victims, as they grieve their losses and search for answers. The four people killed have been identified as 28-year-old Unique Benjamin, 20-year-old Isaiah Boling, 25-year-old Anthony Martin (AKA Quincy McCleary) and 21-year-old Kanisea Scott.
