Autumn colours enhanced by this pretty little rainbow over our garden this morning.

Nature … is so much better than AI don’t you think!!

I have really enjoyed growing my own radicchio this year. It’s one of my favourite bitter leaves to eat so it’s been great being able to grab and go!!

I decided upon growing bitter salad leaves this year because they are so nutritious and the slugs hate them!

Looks like Autumn is finally here along with some welcome rain and a cool breeze 🍂🍁🌧️🍃🍃

I love how our garden comes alive at this time of year… like a firework display 🔥✨

Four plants have thrived this summer despite our drought…

Red chilli plants, Swiss Chard, Raddichio and the Basil.

They really didn’t like the tap water … and him their heads low but as soon as nature’s own water came along they flourished!! Thankfully! 🌱🥗

So happy it’s cooled down enough now to take Paddy out for a little walk!!

Yes we got a new puppy a few weeks ago and he’s adorable. Same breed as Hector was and even from the same breeder.

Our home feels complete again 🫶🏻

🌿 June in the garden 🌿

The chicoria is thriving — deliciously bitter and packed with goodness (the more bitter, the better... right? 😇).

Our courgettes are absolutely flying, while the mint seems determined to take over the entire garden! 🌱

The rain has been a blessing, everything is lush and growing beautifully... except the mangetout, which I suspect the birds enjoyed before we got the chance! 🐦😂

Honestly, this is my favourite time of year. 🪴💚

Our vegetable garden is finally getting there!! 🌱🥕🥦🍓🍓

After what’s seems like such a long winter this burst of sunshine this week has ballooned everything!!

Even our Medlar tree is flourishing. So magical.

I doubled the amount of courgette plants this year because I want to make more courgette flower recipes.

Luckily the chilli’s are still alive despite the frost a few weeks ago.

So happy I chose to grow chicory. It’s such an easy salad to grow from seed … sour and full of healthy nourishing goodness.

Oh and lots of onions nd garlic and my faithful beautiful chives .. the flower petals taste so fresh in salads.

I have chard too and sugar snaps although I fear the squirrels might have stolen my sugar snap seeds….

I decided not to grow lettuce this year as I hate the slugs… the chicory is too sour for them, another reason for choosing them and of course no tomatoes because I detest the flies!
