Halloween Parade documentary!

Every year since 1998, the visionary puppet designers at Processional Arts Workshop have led the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade with large-scale puppet performances embodying the parade's theme.

The performances tell complex and evocative narratives that unfold as three-minute operas along the parade route.

And every October, @processional_arts' Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles invite dozens of volunteers to participate in crafting these amazing performances, during weekend puppet-raisings at the workshop’s historic barn in upstate New York.

We’ve had the pleasure of documenting this glorious, community-based artistic work for our film. And we can’t wait to see what they create for this year's parade!
